Review of the Tenga Egg Spider

Review of the Tenga Egg male sex toy

If the world famous Tenga Cup and its various spin off toys are the most well known male masturbators in the world, then the Tenga Egg is probably the best known travel sized male sex toy. The egg comes in several varieties. Some, like the Crater and Stepper, have already been reviewed here.

The oddly named Tenga Spider has received some of the best user reviews of any Tenga travel toy I have seen. While some of the Tenga Eggs are widely agreed to be mediocre, the Tenga Spider scores high for most guys who use it.

Perhaps I suffer from arachnophobia, but I don’t want to think about spiders when I am sitting down for one on one time. Thankfully, the plastic wrapper that contains the word spider is easily removed from the packaging of this toy leaving just a egg to crack open.

Inside the egg waits a round white colored soft rubber toy. The toy is about the same size as a chicken egg. It’s smooth on the outside with a textured pattern on the inside. The pattern inside looks like a raised spider web but thankfully that stays out of view.

Like all Tenga eggs, the Spider has a large hole on one end and comes with a small package of Tenga lubricant. The lubricant is enough for a single use which is all the Tenga eggs are intended for. Although some budget watchers do wash out and reuse these eggs, it is clear from the cost and construction that they aren’t really made to stand up to such treatment.

For a single use however the Tenga eggs are constructed quite well. Despite the small size, they are able to stretch well enough to accommodate almost any reasonably endowed guy. This sort of stretching isn’t really necessary in the case of the Spider however, since it creates the best sensations when it used for short focused strokes on the head.

With slow and deliberate approach this toy seems to deserve most of the good reviews it has received. For anything more adventurous however, it doesn’t do much. Considering the price and intention of the toy, there is really nothing to complain about. For the cost it is quite good and in line with the generally high standards of the Tenga brand.

The Tenga Egg Spider is available at OtonaJP.

  1. I enjoy all the Tenga eggs, but especially the Spider. I think they are very durable, but that’s because after the one time with the lube, I wash it well and turn it inside out to dry, then use it again (and again!) with a thin lubed condom. I think I have one that is three years old and easily used 300 or more times. The color has dulled but the material is high quality and no sign of wear and tear.
