Review of the FIFI male sex toy

Although the US is still a world leader it is pretty clear that it has fallen behind in a number of areas. The one that most concerns me for the purposes of this website is the realm of the male sex toy. Long limited to low end “pocket pussies,” the market for male sex toys in the US only really took off with the creation of the Fleshlight. For the most part, guys in the United States are limited to ordering onaholes from places like Japan and South Korea if they really want to have some fun in the field.

Recently a banner for a new male sex toy on a porn site caught my eye. It turns out it is more like a commercialization of a toy that guys in the US have been making for years. Many a young man in the states has made a sex toy with some combination of latex rubber glove, rolled up towel and lube. Finally, someone had the bright idea to mass produce and market a toy based on the same idea. The Fifi is now being widely advertised and even sold on huge websites like Amazon.

The Fifi ships in a box that is bigger than the squares holding most onaholes. It looks different too. It’s basically clear and straight forward. It has an open front that shows a clear plastic tube which holds the toy. On the back there are some basic illustrations that show how to use the thing. Stashed inside the box is another small square box which holds pouches of rubber inserts.

The toy is basically a rolled up piece of fabric. It is pretty well made and looks like it would stand up to some use, but I’m always wary of involving cloth in any masturbation that involves a lot of lubricant. On one end of the fabric there is a velcro strip. Matching velcro is also attached at the other end. The idea is to open the thing and lay it flat. Then you are supposed to take out one of the rubber inserts that looks exactly like a female condom and lay it inside. After that, you are supposed to roll the fabric back up as tight or loose as you’d like and fasten the velcro again. Then you pull the end of the insert over the top of the toy, lubricate the hole left in the middle and go to work. All of this is easier said than done.

One problem is that the thing isn’t very easy to open with one hand. Assuming you’re already going at it when you pull the toy out you may have some problems. A lubed up hand doesn’t help much. So foresight and planning is needed to use the toy properly. I don’t think a lot of fappers are thinking clearly when they are in the middle of their favorite pastime.

Another issue is that the velcro only matches up if you wind the toy up in certain ways. It is possible to wind it so lose that the velcro doesn’t find anything to attach to. And if you wind it back up as it comes, it is too tight for all but the smallest of units to get inside. So what is one to do?

With a little work it is possible to find the perfect way to wind the thing up. But when that is done it is still a little tough to penetrate. No matter how lose it is, the inside of a female condom causes a lot of friction, even when it is very well lubed. That, and a real reduction in sensation, is why I think the things aren’t that popular. I remember using one with a girl once. It was like having sex with the inside of a basketball.

Even if all the obstacles are avoided there is still a problem. Female condoms have no texture inside. They are just made of latex rubber. So the inside of the Fifi doesn’t provide much in the way of stimulation, especially when compared with amazing onaholes like the ZXY. In fact, the inside of the Fifi doesn’t even really compare with the Fleshlight Original Pink Lady even though that has a straight inside with no nobs or ends.

On the plus side the Fifi has no smell and doesn’t really look like anything sexual. So it could be displayed or carried basically anywhere even right out in the open without anyone knowing what it was. It looks like a travel pillow or rolled up towel.

The Fifi is also incredibly easy to clean. All you have to do is open it, remove the rubber insert and through it away. That is of course unless you get some lube or other sticky stuff on the plush outside of the toy. In that case you have to do more work like throwing it into a laundry machine or something.

The Fifi is pretty low on my list of male sex toys. I’m glad I tried it out but it just can’t compare to the other toys on the market even though it does have a surprisingly low cost considering what it is provided. Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but my years of experience with sex toys from around the world would suggest otherwise.

The Fifi is available from the company’s website and Amazon.
